Perpignan is the city that hosts the international photojournalism festival Visa pour l'image. Since 2009, I have another appointment in this city: It houses in its center one of the largest sedentary gypsy communities in Europe, gradually installed from the nineteenth century in the Saint-Jacques district. Neighborhood among the poorest in France, with 80% unemployment. A community lifestyle, clan, patriarchal, assumed as such.
